No Cases Of Coronavirus In Zimbabwe - Health Minister
Zimbabwe’s Health and Childcare Minister Obadiah Moyo said there are no confirmed cases of coronavirus in the country yet.
Moyo was presenting a Ministerial statement on the country’s preparedness to manage the COVID-19 deadly virus in Parliament on Thursday. He said:
As of today (Thursday), there are no cases of coronavirus in Zimbabwe. We can guarantee the nation that there is no coronavirus in Zimbabwe.
FeedbackMoyo added that there are more than 3 000 Zimbabweans who returned home from China (where the virus was first detected in December 2019) since last month and were being monitored.
Meanwhile, a 27-year-old Zimbabwean woman has been discharged from Wilkins Hospital where she had been quarantined. Preliminary tests showed that she was coronavirus free.
