Chamisa Does Not Speak For Mbeki, Dialogue Is Moving Smoothly – POLAD

While speaking at a press briefing in Bulawayo, Mr Kwanele Hlabangana, POLAD thematic sub-committee chairperson of international relations and re-engagement said Chamisa was not Mbeki’s spokesperson and the dialogue was not for one person.

Mr Hlabangana also said they were going to meet Mbeki as POLAD in 2 weeks time and the dialogue was moving smoothly. Said Hlabangana:

I do not think President Mbeki suddenly has a new spokesperson in the form of Chamisa. As far as we are concerned, dialogue is moving smoothly actually. I can tell you that in the coming two weeks as Polad we will be meeting with President Mbeki, so I wonder what Chamisa is talking about,

Further, we believe there is a misguided notion that dialogue is about individuals that is (between) President Mnangagwa and Chamisa which is not true. It is about political organisations.

This came after Chamisa told The Standard last week that President Mnangagwa was ignoring former South African president’s communication.
