WATCH: Health Minister Says "Anybody Coming From China Should Self-Quarantine For 14-21 Days"

Zimbabwe’s Health Minister, Dr Obadiah Moyo has said that “anybody” visiting Zimbabwe from China has to self-quarantine for 14 to 21days.

China is a coronavirus affected country and the fear is that people who will be coming from China will be carrying the virus.

However, it is not clear how effective self-quarantining is as some individuals may choose not to subject themselves to the procedure.

Is it even safe to quarantine themselves in undesignated facilities? Where will they be staying? Some will be tourists who usually stay in hotels and would be mixing and mingling with many people.

Is the country really prepared to prevent the spread of the virus?
