"21 February 2020 Zimbabweans Shall Converge And Demand ED And Chamisa To Meet" - Tsenengamu

Suspended ZANU PF Youth League Political Commissar, Godfrey Tsenengamu has said that Zimbabweans are going to converge and demand a meeting between President Emmerson Mnangagwa and opposition MDC leader, Nelson Chamisa.

Speaking at a press conference held at the Media Centre this Friday, Tsenengamu said:

21 February 2020 Zimbabweans shall converge and demand @edmnangagwa & @nelsonchamisa to meet. If they don’t meet, or if anyone of them declines to pitch up, then Zimbabwe will know its enemy.

On the 21st of February, no one will wear any party regalia, there won’t be chanting of any party slogans. It is a genuine fight against corruption.

Tsenengamu speaks when efforts to bring Chamisa and Mnangagwa on to the table to discuss the deteriorating state of affairs have been fruitless with each side making demands the other side is not willing to meet.

While the MDC is accusing ZANU PF of causing the socio-economic and political crises in the country through maladministration and violation of human rights, ZANU PF is blames everything on the MDC and other “economic saboteurs” who are hamstringing the economy.

Friday 21 February 2020 is Robert Gabriel Mugabe National Youth Day and a public holiday set aside in remembrance of Zimbabwe’s founding leader. Some accuse him of contributing largely to the collapse of the economy.
