A security guard employed at Tawanda Nyambirai’s farm allegedly killed 123 cattle worth nearly $1,4 million belonging to the businessman.

The guard, Paradzai Kamwaza, thought to be 18 but claims to be 17, was employed as a security guard at Marvel Farm livestock. He appeared before Harare magistrate Rumbidzai Mugwagwa on Thursday.

Kamwaza was remanded in custody to February 7 pending a determination of his age.

He is alleged to have connived with Timothy Katsekete, who is still at large, to administer poison to the cattle during feeding.

The duo allegedly used a poisonous herbicide called paraquat, leading to the death of 123 cattle.
