"Elected Officials Find It Hard To Explain State Of Affairs To The Electorate," ZANU PF Official

ZANU PF political Commissar, Victor Matemadanda who is also the deputy minister of Defence has said that it is likely hard for elected officials to return and talk to the electorate considering the deteriorating state of affairs.

Matemadanda said the general populace may be lacking information on what is causing the hardships they are facing every day. He said:

Some (elected officials) may not know what to go and tell the people because they say things are difficult. What could be lacking is information to the general populace, whereby people do not understand where we are and where we are going, but to those with economic knowledge, they know things have started to improve.

Matemadanda added that the pain which is being experienced by the citizenry was foretold by president Emmerson Mnangagwa before the implementation of austerity measures adding that the economy will show life after the measures.

Zimbabweans feel disillusioned as they had high hopes that the transition from former president Mugabe to Mnangagwa will result in economic transformation.
