Journalist Reminds Kasukuwere And Mzembi How They Deprived Other People Of Property Rights During Mugabe's Era

Prominent Zimbabwean journalist, Ranga Mberi has reminded former cabinet ministers, Saviour Kasukuwere and Walter Mzembi of how they grabbed companies when they were still in office.

Posting on Twitter, Mberi who is with NewzWire said:

Zvipiko. The time you and Bla Joe Made invaded the Nestlé factory like the A Team and ordered them to take Dr Amai’s milk, forcing the company to shut down and delay expansion, makanga musati mambohwa zvama property rights? Kwahi “What’s so special about Nestle?” Svodai.

Yet RioZim had to go to court to stop you from grabbing Renco mine. (Obviously, Cde, one look at your gold tooth had them gravely worried about your love for gold). And let’s not even start about the Mitchell farm you wanted. Siyai nyambo

His remarks come as Kasukuwere and other exiled former government officials including Professor Jonathan Moyo, Daniel Shumba and former president Mugabe’s nephew, Patrick Zhuwao are complaining about State seizure of their farms.

Kasukuwere suggests that land in Zimbabwe is being used as a political weapon to toe politicians into line whilst Mzembi thinks the land is used as a tool for retribution. Mzembi said:

The government is using land as a tool of retribution and vengeance against its opponents in addition to stripping them of assets elsewhere. This is a very dangerous precedent which will haunt them to the third generation. Power is not permanent.
