Malbereign Residents Angry With The City's Decision To Turn Sherwood Golf Club Into Residential Stands
Residents from Harare’s Malbereign suburb have expressed their displeasure after the city fathers okayed the decision to turn Sherwood golf club into residential stands, The Herald reports.
A resident that spoke to the publication vowed to defend the golf club by any means necessary:
We are going to take the legal route and all means necessary to protect our local golf club. If they (stand beneficiaries) come back, we are going to physically remove them.
FeedbackAsked for comment the councillor in charge of Malbereign, Denford Ngadziore said he works for the people:
I have no objection as long as there is contribution and input from the residents. I am shocked that people were given an offer letter, but I am not surprised because there is serious political interference in this ward,
