Massive Corruption Taking Place At The Registrar General's Offices
People seeking passports and some identity particulars are spending days and sometimes nights in search of either travel or identity documents, while queues to obtain these things move at an exceptionally slow pace forcing others to bribe their way out, The Sunday Mail reports.
Reporters from the publication under the guise of passport and birth certificate seekers visited the registrar’s office where they met clearly frustrated individuals and had to bribe their way to get a birth certificate swiftly and have a chaperon take them through the relevant offices that a passport seeker goes through while desperate Zimbabwean were in a slow-moving queue.

..Identity documents are being parcelled out with reckless abandon to anyone with money.
Refugees with access to the greenback, criminals trying to evade justice and foreigners seeking use of Zimbabwean documents can easily get their hands on this country’s identity particulars.

One can even change their identity in a matter of hours and no one would be the wiser.
Contacted for Comment, the Home Affairs Minister, Kazembe Kazembe did not rule out the likelihood of these scenarios as he said when he visited Bindura last week he heard most passport seekers were from Harare. He said his ministry would do an independent investigation on the issue.
ZACC also said they want a report from the public for them to investigate the issue.
