US Pledges To Continue Providing Aid To Zimbabwe

The United States of America (US) has pledged to continue supporting Zimbabwe in its reform agenda as this is a prerequisite for closer relations between the two countries.

This was said by US ambassador to Zimbabwe Brian Nichols through a post on Twitter. He wrote:

I met with Acting President Chiwenga today and reiterated U.S. support for Zimbabwe’s reform agenda that is necessary for deeper engagement between our countries.

We remain Zimbabwe’s largest bilateral donor and will continue to support the people of Zimbabwe during challenging times.

Vice President Constantino Chiwenga is the Acting President as President Emmerson Mnangagwa is on his annual vacation.
