ZACC Arrests Bishop For Forcing Students To Buy Bibles & Hymn Books
Zimbabwe Anti-corruption Commission (ZACC) officers have arrested Manicaland Diocese Anglican Bishop, Eric Ruwona, for allegedly forcing pupils seeking places at Anglican schools in the province to buy Bibles and hymn books.
Bishop Ruwona was taken to Mutare Central Police Station where he is currently detained. He is expected to appear in court on Wednesday.
Pupils looking for places were being asked to pay $800.00 for the Bible, with those failing to pay being turned away.
ZACC officials swooped on the Bishop after they were tipped off by frustrated parents and guardians.
