Government Yet To Approve Schools Fees Hikes One Week Before Schools Open

The government is yet to approve school fees hikes because the ministry of primary and secondary education is still processing school fees hike applications ZBC News reports.

This was revealed by the principal director in the Primary and Secondary Education ministry’s principal Director Petr Muzawazi who spoke to the publication and said:

We are still receiving applications from schools and we are in the process of assessing the forms so that we come up with a proper subsidy,

The government said schools should not hike fees without the approval of the government. Schools are scheduled to open on Tuesday next week, despite teachers threatening to down tools due to incapacitation.
