Chamisa Hoping To Meet Mnangagwa 'Soon'

MDC leader Nelson Chamisa said that he expected to meet President Emmerson Mnangagwa face-to-face at the just-ended Progressive Teachers Union of Zimbabwe (PTUZ) congress held in Harare at the weekend.

Chamisa told the gathering of teachers that he came to the occasion after he was told that President Mnangagwa had also been invited. Said Chamisa:

When I came here I was expecting that I would have my equivalent from Zanu PF here. I was expecting to meet my partner, my brother ED.

I asked the organisers if ED was invited and they said yes, and I said if he is invited I am coming because I would like to meet him. And so I delayed … expecting him to come, but he didn’t. Hopefully, I will meet him soon.

Chamisa, however, said that he will not join the Political Actors Dialogue (POLAD), describing the platform as a choir against reason and logic.
