FC Platinum To Announce Changes To Coaching Set-up After Al Ahly Match

FC Platinum (FCP) said that a formal announcement regarding the club’s technical set-up will be made after their Total Caf Champions League match against Al Ahly next week.

This follows reports claiming that the reigning Castle Lager Premier Soccer League champions have engaged former Highlanders coach Pieter de Jongh to take over as coach from Lizwe Sweswe. The club’s media and communications officer Chido Chizondo said:

A formal announcement will be done after the Al Ahly match regarding any possible additions to our technical line up and as such for now the status quo will remain.

Some reports suggest that FCP has added Triangle United skipper Ralph Kawondera, Hwange left-back Nomore Chinyerere, Manica Diamonds duo of Stanley Ngala and Last Jesi to its playing personnel, reports which Chizondo said she was unaware of.

FCP is the only club in their group yet to win a point, with Al Ahly of Egypt, Al Hilal of Sudan and Etoile Du Sahel of Tunisia all on six points.
