Bulawayo Water Crisis Persists Despite The Onset Of the Rainy Season
Bulawayo’s 96-hour- water-shedding scheme will have to continue a few days or weeks more as water levels remain low at Umzingwane Dam despite the onset of the rainy season Daily news reports.
The city decommissioned both Umzingwane and Upper Ncema dams and is also having a hard time pumping water due to the ongoing power crisis.
Bulawayo Mayor Councillor Solomon Mguni urged residents to be water-wise as they are still in the midst of a dire water crisis:
We must continue to conserve and save water. We have not yet received any significant inflows into our dams. Let us be water wise,
