The RBZ is reportedly planning to introduce disinflation programs in the new year, Business Times reports. The publication spoke to the RBZ deputy governor Kupikile Mlambo who said:
Inflation has emerged as a major challenge to economic growth and macroeconomic stability.As a way forward, we will put in place a robust disinflation programme in 2020
The Deputy Governor did not shed more light on the supposed programs the RBZ will undertake to curb hyperinflation. Inflation soared to 450+% in November 2019.
