The new Social welfare Minister has appointed Arthur Manase as the acting NSSA general manager. Arthur who is already a NSSA board member is a legal practitioner and is taking over from David Makwara who has been the acting GM since 2018.
Paul Mavima speaking about Manase’s appointment said:
Mr Manase will act in this role until the board completes all processes that it has so far initiated and which will culminate in the recruitment of a substantive general manager.
NSSA was riddled with scandals in 2019 with the biggest scandal of the former Social Welfare Ministry Prisca Mupfumira swindling US$95 Million from the pension fund body emerging in July.
