School Head's Wife Miscarries After Being Assaulted By ZANU PF Official
Walter Nyakudya, who is ZANU PF chairperson for Makumbiri District is set to appear in court this Friday after he assaulted the wife of a Mvurwi headmaster.
Nyakudya allegedly assaulted Hopetwin Tumbare, the wife of Vivien Nhamoyebonde, following an altercation between his wife and Tumbare.
Nhamoyebonde told the Daily News that he invited Nyakudya for talks following the quarrel between their wives and Nyakudya went to Nhamoyebonde’s house where he assaulted the expecting wife.
Nhamoyebonde said that he notified of the assault by school kids since the incident happened when he was still at work. He added:
After the assault, my pregnant wife started complaining about stomach pains.

She went to the hospital before reporting the matter to the police.
She eventually started bleeding before she had a miscarriage. We lost our child in the process.
Doctor Wadzanai Govha who examined Tumbare after the assault said that the pregnancy was 11 weeks old adding that the injuries were severe although there were no possibilities of permanent disability.
