G40 Paying Marry Mubaiwa-Chiwenga's Legal Fees For Some Favours - The Herald

Marry Mubaiwa-Chiwenga, the estranged wife of Vice President Constantino Chowenga is reportedly getting her legal fees from exiled leaders of the G40, the Herald has reported.

The publication also claims that, in return, the former model is expected to implicate her husband, VP Chiwenga in her “money laundering” schemes and also to support reports suggesting that Chiwega bought houses for alleged girlfriends.

An unnamed source to the Herald said that there have been communication between Marry and an unnamed G40 leader, raising suspicion that she has been spying on Chiwenga over the years. The source said:

The G40 leader told Marry to falsely allege that the US$1 million she allegedly laundered was in VP Chiwenga’s house. She has also been coached to allege that the money she is alleged to have stolen was just small change.

Meanwhile, Mubaiwa’s lawyer, Mr Taona Nyamakura of Mtetwa and Nyambirai Legal Practitioners denied the allegations.
