Prosecutor Claims Marry Chiwenga Could Finish Off VP Chiwenga If Granted Bail
The State is opposed to the granting of bail to Vice President Constantino Chiwenga’s estranged wife, Marry Chiwenga, for fear that she will finish off the former Army General after she allegedly attempted to take his life while he was bedridden in South Africa.
While making his submissions in the Harare Magistrates’ Court on Monday, where Marry was charged with attempted murder, prosecutor Michael Reza said:
The State believes that the accused person if admitted to bail will commit an offence. She has been placed on remand on a charge of attempted murder, meaning her mission in South Africa was not successful.
FeedbackShe did not succeed in killing the vice president in South Africa, meaning she has unfinished business with the vice president.
If released on bail she will go all out to ensure the aborted mission is completed.
