Award-winning Journalist Hopewell Chin’ono claims that ZACC arrested Vice President Chiwenga’s wife Marry Chiwenga on fraud, money laundering and misrepresentation charges.
Chin’ono tweeted:
Marry Chiwenga has been arrested by @ZACConline and detained at Rhodesville Police Station for fraud, misrepresentation and money laundering. The laundering charge involves buying a home in South Africa. Police sources say that she was detained this evening.(last night)
Chin’ono further confirmed the misrepresentation charges levelled against the second lady and said:
@ZACConline is charging Marry Chiwenga with misrepresentation saying she approached the Judge President George Chiweshe & said her husband wanted a marriage officer to solemnise their marriage. The marriage officer is Munamato Mutevedzi. ZACC accuses her of soiling the VP’s name
The Vice President came back home from China late last month and reportedly filed for divorce and even went the legal route to evict Marry from their residence in Borrowdale.
