"The Long Arm Of The Law Will Soon Catch Up With You," ED Tells Money Changers
President Emmerson Mnangagwa has threatened stern action against illegal forex dealers saying time was now up for them.
He made these remarks whilst addressing delegates at the ZANU PF Annual People’s Conference underway at Goromonzi High School in Mashonaland East. He said:
Those who continue to deal in money markets, I say to you all, the long arm of the law will soon catch up with you.
FeedbackThe president is speaking when money changers have once again returned into the streets after a very short sabbatical which followed the freeze on some bank accounts presumed to have been fuelling the parallel market.
Some observers, however, argue that as long as foreign currency is scarce in the country, no measure will be effective in removing money changers from the streets.
