FC Platinum Lose To Étoile Sportive du Sahel
Castle Lager Premier Soccer League champions FC Platinum (FCP) lost their second 2019/20 CAF Champions League group match, falling 0-3 at home to Étoile Sportive du Sahel of Tunisia.
The match was played at Barbourfields Stadium in Bulawayo on Saturday afternoon. In his post-match press conference, FCP coach Lizwe Sweswe said:
We lost but we did not play badly and were undone by mistakes at the back when our defenders lost concentration and failed to organise well. We are not throwing in the towel though and will continue to fight.
FeedbackEtoile got their goals through Karim Aribi (one in each half) and substitute Hazem Haj Hassen in injury time of the second half.
Meanwhile, FC Platinum remains the only side in Group B that is yet to pick up a point after Egyptian giants Al Ahly beat Sudanese outfit Al Hilal 2 – 1 on Friday.
