Fastjet and SA Express this week saw their maiden trips from Bulawayo to Joburg on Thursday and Friday respectively according to ZimLive.
The airlines finally obtained route permits after they attempted to launch the new routes last month and failed. Both airlines are said to be targetting the festive season travellers as Fastjet is said to have set up a maintenance centre at JM Nkomo Airport.
