"Each And Everyone Should Play Their Part," - Mutsvangwa

Building Zimbabwe can only be possible when each and every stakeholder plays their part, the Minister of Information, Monica Mutsvangwa has said.

Addressing delegates at the Institute of Corporate Directors Zimbabwe (ICDZ) awards ceremony in Harare on Thursday night, Mutsvangwa said:

Each and everyone should play their part, it is not about them and us, and it’s not about criticising; it is about coming together to say what is good for this country.

Like I always say, if Zimbabwe was a company, we are all shareholders, so let us get back to business that makes this country move forward.

Her remarks come when there is a stand-off between the ruling ZANU PF and the opposition MDC since 2018 with the latter accusing the governing party of stealing the presidential elections.

The impasse has been clearly pronounced particularly in the recent past when ZANU PF legislators walked out of Parliament Committees chaired by MDC MPs in retaliation to MDC snubs of Parliament events attended by President Mnangagwa.

Analysts believe that the discord between ZANU PF and MDC is further worsening the socio-economic and political crises in the country hence the need to dialogue and find solutions to issues bedevilling the country.
