Chamisa To Sack Inept Officials
MDC president Nelson Chamisa is in the process of crafting performance-based appraisals that will be used to assess the competence of his party officials in Parliament and council.
This was revealed by Chamisa’s spokesperson, Nkululeko Sibanda, in an interview with the Daily News on Thursday. Sibanda said:
The president is currently meeting with portfolio secretaries to come up with the modalities of the appraisals and those who will be found to be incompetent, either as MPs, councillors or party officials, will be asked to excuse themselves because the idea is to make a difference and bring change that delivers to the people.
FeedbackChamisa has directed party officials to hold meetings in each constituency and ward and provide detailed reports.
The development comes at a time when the MDC has started a process of restructuring itself by disbanding all ward structures to merge them with branches in line with a resolution made at its congress held in May.
