“Don’t Hesitate To Send Me Packing, If I Fail To Perform,” – Minister Challenges ED

The Deputy Minister of Youth, Sport, Arts and Recreation, Tinoda Machakaire has challenged President Emmerson Mnangagwa to fire him if he does not deliver on his mandate.

Machakaire was addressing thousands of ZANU PF youths who gathered for the party’s National Youth Convention in Kadoma, where he pledged to give his all for the transformation of the youths. He said:

I don’t want to hog this office and be unproductive. I want to tell you President (Mnangagwa) today, that please don’t hesitate to send me packing, if I fail to perform and deliver my mandate to  transform lives of the youths and Zimbabweans at large, in line with 2030 vision.

Machakaire who is said to be Sakunda boss, Kuda Tagwirei’s sidekick, was appointed into his post when Mnangagwa reshuffled Cabinet recently and he has made headlines in the media after he rejected a government vehicle saying it can be used in other departments.

  1. The president himself is the one who is failing to perform. He is failing the nation by allowing corruption to continue. We all want our country to succeed including a very hard working finance team but I don’t think our president is able to pull us through due his inability to successfully fight corruption.
