Matemadanda made the remarks during the announcement of District Co-ordinating Committee (DCC) election results at Davies Hall on Sunday. He said:
MDC has brought suffering to the people. In Bulawayo, they are just doing whatever they want. They fire the Town Clerk, some of the guys with unkempt hair don’t even know the correct procedure.
Right now, if you move from one suburb to another, they are failing on service delivery. They are failing to manage waste and want to claim that they can lead this country. That’s impossible.
The MDC controls the majority of urban councils where service delivery, characterised by burst sewer pipes and severe shortages of water, is in a shambles.
The party has, however, refused to take the blame for the rot, instead, blaming the central government for interference as well as the state of the economy.
