Prominent journalist and award-winning filmmaker, Hopewell Chin’ono said that he put out a call on Wednesday night for any doctor able to assist an elderly woman who had fallen sick in Nyabira to help.
Chin’ono further revealed that Dr Norman Matara responded, and the family of the woman has since written to him, thanking them for the help and treating gogo at no cost. Below is the letter of gratitude:
Thank you is never enough for your kindness mum has been taken care of, three injections and tablets and a drip. She has been discharged and we are now waiting for her to be picked up again to be dropped home.
Handigone kukutendai Mkoma wangu, we could have been having different discussions. She had lots of lots of fluids and became very weak.
To Dr Matara, we wait to see them coming down from heaven, but yet they’re always here amongst us.
