"They've Seen That The MDC Project Won’t Work," Matemadanda Speaks On G40

Defence and War Veterans’ Affairs Deputy Minister, Victor Matemadanda has claimed that the Generation 40 (G40) party was a Western project which was meant to destabilise the country.

He said that the sponsors of the party had realised that the opposition MDC which they were reportedly funding to dislodge ZANU PF from power had failed to achieve intended goals.

Speaking to the Chronicle in an interview in Bulawayo on Tuesday, Matemadanda said that G40 leaders including Saviour Kasukuwere and Professor Jonathan Moyo were desperate and will be disillusioned if they think they will ever remove the ruling ZANU PF from power. He said:

They have seen that the MDC project won’t work. Now they have gone at another level, it is common cause and common knowledge that they have put $5 million for social media abuse propaganda against the Zanu-PF government and they are giving money to anyone that will oppose any Zanu-PF activity.

Matemadanda speaks when the G40 was recently launched as a party which will contest in the 2023 elections.
