Mapeza' Chippa United Finally Wins A League Match

Norman Mapeza’s Chippa United finally won their first game in the 2019/20 ABSA Premier League season after overcoming Amazulu 2-0 at the Princess Magogo Stadium on Saturday night.

Mapeza made five changes to the team that succumbed 2-0 to log pacesatters Kaizer Chiefs as he brought in Veli Mothwa, Geraldine Damons, Kelvin Moyo, Mzikayise Mashaba and Thabo Rakhale.

The Chilli Boys got their first goal in the 63rd minute when William Twala’s snapshot in the area deflected off Thapelo Nyongo before going past Siyabonga Mbatha.

Twala got his brace in the final four minutes following a swift counter-attack to see his side to their first win of the campaign.

However, despite the win, Chippa is still bottom of the table with 7 points from 11 outings.
