ZIFA Waits On RG's Office For Bonne & Chicksen's Passports

The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) is hopeful that several members of the “British Brigade” will be part of the Warriors team to play Botswana and Zambia in the upcoming 2021 AFCON qualifiers.

ZIFA communications manager Xolisani Gwesela said that the passport application forms for some the players have already been submitted. Said Gwesela:

All their application papers were submitted and we are now waiting for the Registrar General’s Office to issue them the passports.

The “British Brigade” is a colloquial term for footballers based in the United Kingdom who are eligible to play for the Zimbabwe national team.

Those expected to get passports are Macauley Bonne of Charlton Athletic and Bolton Wanderers’ Adam Chicksen.
