Public Servants Can No Longer Afford To Report For Duty - Apex Council

The board representing civil servants has notified the government that its members can no longer afford to report for duty every day The Zimbabwean reports. The Apex council has informed the government that though they can no longer afford to report for work, they are not on strike.

The publication qouted the Apex council which said:

This declaration is meant to protect those of our number, who are the majority, that at any one time they may find themselves unable to proceed to work because they have no money for transport, food and accommodation and more.

Mthuli Ncube has said treasury is reviewing civil servants’ salaries but didn’t shed much light on the issue.
