Mai Mujuru: I May Appear Foolish To Some, But Listen To Me

Former vice president Joice Mujuru said that people should listen to her as she has vast experience in politics despite some considering her foolish.

Speaking to the Daily News on Monday, the widow of General Solomon Mujuru revealed that she was ready to meet President Emmerson Mnangagwa to deliberate on issues affecting the country. She said:

No matter how daft I might look in the eyes of some people, I know something about this country. You cannot throw away 34 years of experience just like that.

People should learn to listen to me and also to listen to other voices. It is important for me to meet and share ideas with the president because there is nothing wrong with seeing our leaders.

Mai Mujuru, as she is affectionately called, has been in the political wilderness since she was hounded out of the ruling ZANU PF party on April 2, 2015.

Her expulsion followed a period of sustained decampaigning by the then first lady Grace Mugabe, who was alleged to have been eyeing Mai Mujuru’s position in both the party and the government.

  1. It appears this woman wants back in as she has run out of money it is her experience that has landed the country in the mess it is in and why she knows who is stockpiling the cash

  2. What experience does she has which the other rulers don’t have? They have over 30 years experience of ruining the country. They must step aside and let new and young people take over.

  3. Mai Mujuru we are sick and tired of your jokes. Madiamonds emubocha mutare makazadza matrunk nhasi uno mave kuti munoda kutaurira nembavha imwe mugotibirazve hamudi Mari here. If you can not lift your comrade in war do you think you can manage to uplift the general population of the country never. Zanu yango fanana neSmith regime which was only taking care of the few. Ngazviende izvi we no longer respect you as people who liberated Zimbabwe tseki.

  4. She has a very short neck I wonder how it may be stretched matey it may help every one concerned especially the victims of genocide

  5. Patronage experience! which has ruined this prosperous NATION, the best Mai Mujuru can achieve is to retire peacefully for she has nothing to offer.
