War Veterans: People Are Now Turning Chamisa Into A Demi-god

A newly-formed association of war veterans, the Veteran Freedom Fighters Organisation, has warned Zimbabweans against created another “Mugabe” out of MDC leader Nelson Chamisa by “worshipping” him.

Addressing reporters in Harare on Monday, a member of the group that broke away from the Mutsvanga/Matemadanda-led Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Association (ZNLWA), Karen Kazingizi, said:

MDC, as well [a lot of people say they are not happy with the party], because they see it (MDC) following the footsteps of Zanu PF cult worshipping.

Now people are turning Chamisa into a demigod, the same way that Mugabe was. Only that they are a few years behind.

The new association claims to be non-partisan, unlike the ZNLWA which has become the ruling ZANU PF party’s foot soldiers.

Kazingizi said that she was sick and tired of the polarisation within Zimbabwe’s politics and she urged the youths to be united and be focused on the “real” enemy.
