SADC, AU Support Zim's Anti Sanctions Day - Report

SADC and AU reportedly sent delegates to rally behind the Zim government’s call for the removal of sanctions the Herald reports. Tanzania, Mozambique and the Pan African Parliament were the ones noted by the Herald to have sent solidarity messages to the govt of Zimbabwe.

SADC Chairperson and Tanzanian President Dr John Magufuli’s solidarity message was read by Tanzania’s Charge de Affairs Brigadier Perez Alfonso, while Mozambican Ambassador to Zimbabwe,Mr Fancisco Cigarro, delivered a message on behalf diplomats from the SADC bloc.

The Pan-African Parliament also threw its weight behind Zimbabwe in a message read by its vice president Chief Fortune Charumbira.

The event though poorly attended went well and the president took the time to tell the west that he was not happy with the sanctions and he wanted them to go in an interesting way.
