War Veterans Fume Over ZANU PF ‘Betrayal’

War veterans have expressed disquiet over the ruling ZANU PF party’s alleged betrayal, after it ignored many of the promises the party made to them in November 2017, when the then President, the late Robert Mugabe was forced to resign by the military.

We will be meeting as a provincial council next week to discuss the way forward regarding this issue, which is worrying us a lot. We had hoped to see war veterans getting the positions as resolved by the central committee.

In November 2017, ZANU PF’s central committee resolved to set aside a quota for former freedom fighters in all contested ruling party elections, with the post of political commissar reserved for the ex-combatants.

The war veterans claim that the resolutions were ignored in the just-ended Zanu PF district co-ordinating committee (DCC) elections in Harare.

  1. What positions are these. Is that in ZanuPf offices or what . What happens if there is a change of government are you expected to stay there. Not bloody likely comrades.

  2. Sadly war vets wether being genuine or teenage imposters are 9 /10 of the problem as they support a distorted reality of thier independence philosophy and think the world and every tax payer owes the a living
Fact is beware of what you wish for the reality is you will become a victim of it
