Former Mazowe Estate Residents Seek To Evict Grace Mugabe From Their Properties

The former first lady’s world seems to be crumbling as it has emerged that former Mazowe residents who were evicted to make way for her family’s business empire want her evicted from their properties Newsday reports.

The matter came to light as one Ngoni Mutupo filed court papers seeking an order to stop Gushungo from barring him from accessing his gold mining claims which fall in the Gushungo Holdings estate.

According to court papers seen by the publication:

The applicant (Mutopo) was unlawfully chased from his two blocks of mines Iron Mask 68 and 69 in Iron Mask Estate in Mazowe, where he has been lawfully mining and is being denied the right by the respondent (Gushungo Holdings), who is acting unlawfully and without a court order authorising him to act in that manner

Mutupo’s application is coming after another resident pertitioned the court to evict Grace and 2 other respondents from his claim which also sits right inside the Gushungo Estate in Mazowe. A few weeks ago the sheriff sent Grace an eviction letter for part of her Blue Roof estate as the owners of the property won the case at the high court.
