The President will this week leave for Sochi Russia where the Russia-Africa Summit will take place, Sunday News reports.
The president is expected to meet Great Dyke and Alrosa investors in hopes of striking a deal that will boost the 2 projects significantly,
Zimbabwe to Russia Ambassador Mike Sango confirmed the news to the publication and said:
During the Summit H.E President E D Mnangagwa will meet with investors of Great Dyke Investments and Alrosa with a view to give impetus to the implementation of the two mega projects. Other meetings with the President in energy, mining and manufacturing sectors have been organised.
The success of the two mega projects are critical in attracting other Russian investors. Where big business succeeds, smaller players follow. But if they fail no other business will enter that market.
The president, however, beginning this year was in Russia looking for investors before he had to rush back home as protests threatened to destabilize things.

Well, well, well,! This trip should cost in the region of USD$8 million just for the hire of the Boeing Business Jet, a Boeing 767. But Air Zim has 2 of the same type!!!! Then there is USD$10000 payout for each of the 60 hangers-on,, then daily Blue Label expenses and at least USD$1500 hotel room per person per night. They will all come back with duty free laptops, cellphones and widescreen TV’s. But for our economy – nothing!
