MDC Urges SADC To Speak Against "Govt Brutality On Citizens"

The opposition MDC led by advocate Nelson Chamisa has called upon the Southern African Development Community t speak against violation of human rights by the administration of President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

The party posted on Facebook saying:

#NoToHumanRightsAbuses
SADC must speak up on this persistent brutality against innocent Zimbabweans by the so-called new dispensation.
#ZimbabweHumanRights

The call comes when the SADC has stood with Zimbabwe in calling for the removal of the sanctions imposed on the Southern African country by the USA, the UK, the EU and other Western states over alleged human rights abuses.

The opposition party argues that the SADC which is vocal on the removal of sanctions must also raise its voice when the government is harassing its people.
