The case of the US president’s Impeachment inquiry has strengthened his opponent Joe Biden’s campaign VOA reports. Biden the Democrats’ front runner was qouted in some preliminary campaigns to have said he is running “to restore the soul of this nation”. This is coming after Trump was accused of trying to get Ukraine to gather political dirt on his opponent and his son.
Biden at a campaign event last week said:
I said I was running to restore the soul of this nation.That is what is at stake in 2020. That’s why this election is so important. And that’s why we are not going to let Donald Trump pick the Democratic nominee for president. I’m not going to let him get away with this.
According to the publication, Biden energised the crown that had come to see him as he declared that Trump picked the wrong guy. His call for Trump’s impeachment and a looming crisis in America’s democracy was reportedly well-received by crowds that came to hear him speak.
