11 Cops Arrested For Trying To Extort Money From Alleged Forex Dealer
Eleven members of the Zimbabwe Republic Police have been arrested after they tried to extort money from an alleged forex dealer, Mr Vaya Sanjay Keshavji in Borrowdale last Thursday afternoon.
The Herald reports that the accused stormed the premises of Keshavji around 2 pm on Thursday driving two unregistered vehicles.
The publication further reports that the police officers accused Keshvji of participating in money laundering and the unauthorised selling of gold. They demanded for paperwork showing that he was authorised to conduct the activities.
Keshavji is said to have got suspicious, told them to wait at the reception and went inside the premises where he alerted the police who came and arrested the 11.
Police national spokesperson, Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi said that investigations were still ongoing to establish what really transpired.

The accused are likely to be charged with extortion and are also to face disciplinary action.
