"The War Is Not Over Yet," First Lady Rallies Female War Veterans

The First Lady of Zimbabwe, Auxillia Mnangagwa has urged female war veterans to join the anti-sanctions campaign.

Addressing female former freedom fighters from Bulawayo, Matabeleland North and Matabeleland South provinces, Mrs Mnangagwa said:

You are important to us for you liberated this country. However, the war is not over yet, we have another war on the 25th (of October) where we will be fighting against sanctions.

We want the sanctions imposed on our country to be removed. They have caused untold suffering. We also want to thank SADC for standing with us in this fight.

She added that people should not be partisan about sanctions since they affect every citizen. Meanwhile, USA and other Western states including the UK, and the European Union insist that sanctions are targeted on certain individuals and entities.
