Zimbabwe’s Finance Minister, Professor Mthuli Ncube in October 2018 said that he needed only six months to transform Zimbabwe.
He said that his policies would start to bear tangible results after six months. Ncube said:
If you give me six months, you will see changes, significant changes.
I have only been a Minister for one month. We need patience, we know what we are doing. What I can say to Zimbabweans is that they should give me six months to see the full impact of the changes from the policies that we have pursued.
It is over a year now since he said those words. It seems Zimbabwe’s economy continues to collapse despite a cocktail of measures by authorities meant to transport the country.
Inflation has been rising whilst shortages in cash, fuel, water, medicines, food, and electricity are still huge in the country.

Yes, indeed we note the significant negative changes. Zimbabwe was in a bad situation when you, dear Minister, took over the finance and, after your said 6 months, which are now 12, things have taken a turn for the worse – significant change indeed!!
This economy does not need professors give Chinotimba that portfolio and we will all smile.
IDIOT !!!
Change will always be there, qurstion is into which direction. Fortunately or rather unfortunately for zim, with this professor in philosophical accounting, dreamland is where we are headed. The land of crazy professors and immeasurable pain and suffering? Isnt this what philosophy is all about, crazy imeasurable principles? Mr professor, time is what we dont have
Nonsense
This muturi must rerign now. H e cant be left to continue plundering the economy. The worst on record
Mthuli is a complete f……..g idiot, a fraudster. He has absolutely no f……g idea on how to fix the Zim economy. Give the farms back to the original whitey owners and maybe in about 3-5 years time things will come right. Otherwise we will be locked in for the next 100 years – hungry and f…k all money.
