Midlands Provincial Mining Director, Nelson Munyanduri, has been arrested for allegedly engaging in underhand dealings and abusing his office.
His arrest was confirmed by the Zimbabwe Republic Police national spokesperson, Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi, who added that investigations into the matter are still ongoing.
Munyaanduri is expected to appear before Gweru Magistrate’s courts on Saturday.
In July, the Ministry of Mines also suspended services after 10 Provincial officials were suspended over graft allegations.
