"Zimbabwe Police Are Thorough, They Can't Bring 3rd Force To Book?"
News Day columnist, Learnmore Zuze has said that it is mindboggling to note that the Zimbabwe Republic Police who are thorough in their work have so far failed to bring the notorious 3rd force to book.
These remarks come at a time when the government, in response to a spree of kidnappings and torture of government critics, has argued that there is a third force working tirelessly to tarnish the government’s image.
Zuze added that failure to bring the purported 3rd force to book, the government was risking being labelled the third force. The sentiments are a strong reminiscence of remarks by MDC spokesperson, Luke Tamborinyoka who said that the third force was nonexistent. Zuze added:
It becomes curious knowing how efficient Zimbabwean police can be when indeed they have to crack certain mysteries. Working on virtually non-existent leads, the police in Zimbabwe have been able to bring robbery culprits to book.
Even some of the worst criminals in the country’s history have been sniffed out of remote parts of Mozambique to come and face justice in local courts.

Zuze also observed that the State needs to educate citizens on how to best defend themselves against the alleged kidnappers.
He said that the government was the custodian of human rights hence the need to quickly unmask the people who are violating human rights willy-nilly.
