"It Was Logical For Kasukuwere To Succeed President Mugabe"

Julius Sello Malema, leader of South Africa’s opposition party, Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) has said that it was not wrong for exiled former Cabinet minister, Saviour Kasukuwere to have succeeded the late former president of Zimbabwe, Robert Mugabe.

Malema, a strong admirer of Mugabe said that the Youth League should serve as a platform to groom leaders. The youthful leader said:

It was logical for Tyson (Kasukuwere) to succeed president Mugabe. If Tyson can’t succeed President Mugabe, what is the purpose of having the youth league? The youth league is the training ground to prepare for the second and third layer of leadership for the mother body. Why is Mnangagwa and crew threatened by the youth? Anyone that is scared of the young you must know that person is not for progress.

Kasukuwere who is facing criminal abuse of office charges, like many of Mugabe’s loyalists skipped the country’s borders during the army’s Operation Restore Legacy which culminated the demise of Mugabe.

The former Minister of Youth Development, Indigenisation and Economic Empowerment was a huge critic of Zimbabwe’s incumbent president, President Emmerson Mnangagwa during the peak of warfare between ZANU PF factions, Generation 40 (G40) and Lacoste.
