Mapeza Set For Rest And Recuperation After FCP Exit

Former FC Platinum coach, Norman Mapeza on Thursday parted ways with the club after five years at the helm.

The news was announced by the club in a statement, revealing that Mapeza is leaving through a mutual separation agreement.

During his five years at the club, Mapeza won two successive league titles and reached the group stages of the prestigious CAF Champions League.

Herald Sports senior editor Robson Sharuko said that Mapeza will take a sabbatical until January 2020 at least. Writing on microblogging site Twitter, Sharuko said:

I have spoken to Mapeza, he says it was his decision he needed a rest, won’t take a job until the end of the year, no bad blood between him and FC Platinum, will only consider offers in January.
