Woman Jailed 6 Months For Stripping Son's Girlfriend N_ked
A woman from Cowdray Park suburb in Bulawayo has been sentenced to an effective six months in prison for assaulting a 17-year-old girl and forcing her to walk n_ked in the streets.
She pleaded guilty to an assault charge before West Commonage magistrate, Tancy Dube who sentenced her to nine months in jail. Three months were suspended on condition that she does not commit a similar offence within the next three years.
The victim was a girlfriend to the convicted woman’s son. The woman said she was angry and failed to control herself after the girl refused to submit her parents’ contact details.
The girl said she was attacked when she visited her boyfriend around 11 AM. She said:
My boyfriend sent me a message on WhatsApp to pay him a visit at his place of residence. When I arrived I sat in his bedroom. At around 11 AM, his mother came and opened the window asking her son to unlock the door for her.

My boyfriend instructed me to flee through the back yard, unfortunately, his mother followed me and attacked me.
She tore my jeans and I lost my phone during the incident as she continued assaulting me.
She added that the woman dragged her to a neighbour’s house where she stripped her n_ked and pushed her out on the street.
Good Samaritans gave clothes to the girl after they saw her walking n_de and crying.
