#Afrophobia_SA: "Nigeria Will Take Definitive Measures To Ensure Safety & Protection Of Her Citizens"
Nigeria has threatened to take “definitive” measures against violent attacks against Nigerians and their businesses in South Africa.
In a statement on Monday night, Nigeria said:
The continuing attacks on Nigerian nationals and businesses in South Africa are unacceptable. Enough is enough. Nigeria will take definitive measures to ensure [the] safety and protection of her citizens.

South Africa nationals claim that foreigners were taking their jobs and businesses as they are prepared to get paltry salaries from employers.

Violence seems to have escalated to greater heights as Nigerian nationals on Tuesday took machetes to defend themselves against South Africans.
Several African countries and leaders including EEF leader, Julius Malema have denounced the violence they described as Afrophobia as it was only targeted at people of colour.
